About Lux Productions, and the Founder, Bob Macko

Established in 1999, Lux Productions is a multimedia company dedicated to the production of professional music compositions, innovative digital art design services, and world class photography. Servicing the Chicago area for the last decade, Lux Productions has grown, evolved, and has adapted the use of cutting edge technology to produce industry leading standards of music and art.

Lux Productions was created by musician, composer, producer, and artist, Bob Macko. Bob was introduced to art at the early age of four, by his internationally renowned artist and mother, Joanne Macko. He continued creating fine art and began his career as a professional artist by the age of 12, winning many awards for his original mixed media paintings.

Shortly after moving to Chicago in 1999, Bob became immersed into the world of music and began learning to create with sound. Starting with the electric guitar, Bob continued exploring and learning different instruments, including acoustic guitar, bass, piano, hand / world percussion, harmonica, flute, didgeridoo, violin, viola, Vietnamese ocean harp, and the Indian sitar.

As a primarily self-taught musician, Bob's compositions have forged a unique sonic quality uniquely his own. His original creations have bridged the gap between many genres of music, from progressive rock, metal, alternative, meditative, new age, world / cultural, to film score orchestrations.

When not busy working in the studio, Bob can be found performing with his two Chicago bands: MahaRa (Acoustic Progressive Rock) and Cobalt Core (Electronic Industrial)

Aside from creating music, digital art, and fine art, Bob also holds a passion for capturing the beauty of the world around him through photography. His photographic pursuits led him to many beautiful destinations, including the Caribbean, Australia, and Egypt.
